where are the mods?

Where are all the main mods again?
And the races?

Ive loaded the SEIV that came with my SEV onto my new machine (Im not really playing the SEV much). Instead of copying the frankenstein cut-n-paste monster mod from my old machine which I call my XperiMental mod, I thought I might try it again from scratch and see if it comes out better. So where can I get the latest versions of the generally expected stuff.

Re: where are the mods?

I also meant to ask altho its probably a dumb question.
Can you use more than one mod at a time?
Can I list them multiply in that text file?

Re: where are the mods?

No, just one at a time. To mix them, you need to decide which mod's version of each file to use, or try to cut & paste content from multiple mods into the same set of files.

Re: where are the mods?

Thats what I did last time. I guess I will have to do it again.

Its too bad that the path file isnt treated as a real path. If multiple mods could be listed, and the sequence decide where the program looks until it finds it. You could list ImageMod first, then Quadrant, then TDM, etc etc.

Re: where are the mods?

Is there a free RAR unpacker?
The links to a free one on Malfador (WinRAR) isnt free anymore

EDIT: never mind. I picked up 7-bit which is probably a better move anyway.
RE-EDIT: that didnt work the way I wanted. back to searching

Re: where are the mods?

The page says WinRar is shareware... 7-zip is freeware and handles RARs. RarLabs does provide a free command line RAR tool, if that's your thing...

Re: where are the mods?

I ended up with TUGbit which is free and will let me double-click a RAR to open it. I dont much like the interface of it but its ok for now. I probably wont need it much anyway.

Re: where are the mods?

Every rar-capable extractor (save the command line one) will let you associate rar files with it to open them. Most do it by default when you install...
