Buying the Game - What\'s the difference in the opt
Hi
I'm planning to buy the game, I have two options on post (posting to uk) USPS Airmail Parcel Post 9.35$ USPS Global Priority Mail 5$ What's the difference? Also anyone been hit by customs when it arrives here. Lastly any ideas how long to arrive? Many thanks Tals |
Re: Buying the Game - What\'s the difference in the
I guess the difference is in the speed. Cheaper is supposed to be slower.
As for customs - I'm not in the UK, but I'm in the EU (France), and didn't have any trouble with customs. |
Re: Buying the Game - What\'s the difference in the
In the EU, customs apply if the item is worth man than 22.50 € i believe. Thats assuming somehow declares the exact value on the package.

Im in the UK and had absolutely no problems with my (pre)order.

Re: Buying the Game - What\'s the difference in the
You might ask someone like a local business and see if they have gotten both delivery types. They might have a preference

Re: Buying the Game - What\'s the difference in the
I would probably just go with the more expensive method, its only £2-£3 extra and should be faster.

Re: Buying the Game - What\'s the difference in the
I went with the cheaper option, and the game took less than a week to get here, I consider that fast enough.

Re: Buying the Game - What\'s the difference in the
Heh, I ordered the game last week and am dying to get my hands on it, especially the manual. I have been playing it blind so far (never played Dom 1 or 2 either, but many other strategy games) and when I look over these forums I feel that I am sooo far behind everyone else... I hope i get my delivery soon, but with the holidays and all the mail is slow... darnit and after newyears my holiday ends http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

Re: Buying the Game - What\'s the difference in the
Dominions can be a bit intimidating without the manual, especially Dom3. I learned Dom1 with just some instruction from a friend, Dom2 was just expanding on Dom1 with occasional rare references to the manual.
Dom3 has so far seen much more references to the manual for a couple of things, but that has been mostly because I want the DB to have no mistakes from the outset. Edi |
