intel mac native?
 

Hi all:

Does anyone know if Dominions 3 (when run on a Mac) is Intel native? I.e. a "Universal" app? I see that the demo is not, and I don't want to buy the full version if it won't run natively.

If it's not native, devs, is there a plan to add native support in a patch?

You shouldnt let that stop you from getting this awsome game. It runs beautifully on my Intel mac! I dont know if its a universal binary app, but if you tell me how to determine that I'll check my copy and let you know.

That's cool -- thanks for the info. Some games run OK, some don't, so it's good to know this one is OK.

As to how to tell, you can click once on the game's icon (in the finder, not the dock) and choose "Get Info" from the file menu. In that window it will say either "Kind: Application (Universal)" for an Intel-native app or "Kind: Application (PowerPC)" for one that is not native. It would be great if you could check and let me know (but it's good to know it runs well anyway!).

We recently bought an intel mac, so if there are problems with the current version there will be an intel version in the next patch.

Thanks, Kristoffer. It's great to know that you're taking us Mac users into account! For what it's worth, I've played the demo for 15 minutes or so and not run into any issues (apart from the expected slow launch due to Rosetta firing up).
