Well I don't post there because the site is broken. I registered within a few days of it opening and ever since then have never been able to log back on.

I request a new password but ONE NEVER COMES, despite the polite "in red" message that additional information has been emailed to me. Well IT HASN'T.

Why any one would want to waste their time posting on a broken site is beyond me, but hey, they do it.

The forum software is also a shuddering, Lovecraftian abomination. What's wrong with phpBB, for crying out loud?

That may be the source of your problem. Within a few weeks of opening, they had a major database crash. Almost everyone had to create a new account from scratch.

It's still the worst BBS software I've ever encountered, though.

I don't post much there for the same reason I don't post much here: I haven't got all that much to say. Plus, I still don't own a computer that can run SE V. The SE IV forum over there is pretty barren.

When I first heard about the site I went over to take a look. The forum structure was confusing, colors so dark my eyes were getting sore straining to read, I couldn't make out what was superfluous crap and meaningful information all of which seemed to swirl around the freaking edges of the screen in an ever meaningless madhouse of headache induce s*#&! Since then it has improved a lot; however, I noticed an attack by one member that any of you moderators here would have put a stop to. Instead nothing happened and the poor target of the attack wasn't even in the wrong, the attacker was the one off topic! I will stay here "where everyone knows your name and their always glad you came." Did I misquote that?

OT: Look a flaw in the forum spell checker... i when it should be I.

In truth i didnt check out that forum and do not plan on it. everyone here is rather fine, i find two forums the best that i've ever found. First one being here and second pelicanparts, its a porsche forum so i can fix up my baby:-). But yes this forum has nice colours and is easy to follow, much better than the other ones.

Not the case, both the name Atrocities and my email address have been used. So I am registered. My password is no good and their system seems to be incapable of sending me a new one.

However, this latest attempt has proven succesful. I have a new password and can now log on to spaceeempires5.com

I really wish they would have gone with a better forum program.

The "titles on every post" thing is what bugs me. It makes it impossible to just scan the front page for interesting topics. Yes, I'm lazy.
