I believe that the mega evil empire reaction is wrong:
If you trigger the score level, all AI empire moods change to indifferent (even if they were angry before) and remain like that. There are consequentely no treaties broken or wars declared like in SE III/IV.

And while we're on the subject of score based calculations, is it me or does highest percentage score not in fact work? Do any of the victory conditions work?

No. The return score function for other players always returns 0. It's one of a few script system functions not working properly.

But... if you play a game and set that as a victory condition is highest percentage score, and you get that then that counts as a moral victory, right? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/yawn.gif

Once you go MEE, there is no going back. This was the way it was in the previous game too. However it should recognize if your point lead falls off and reset the MEE standing. So if you get your arse whipped a few times and your point lead diminishes, then your MEE standing should be removed allowing you to make new treties.

I dislike MEE so I tend to diable it. Not sure if you can for SE V though.. can you?

I'm pretty sure the setting is in the data files, though I have not disabled it yet because my games rarely reach that stage.
