BCT expansion pack 2 demo
Have just finished ep2 - this time winning http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif I just wanted to know if I am the only one having BIG troubles destroying the northern most fire team in OBJ Lee? Waisted 3-4 fire teams assaulting + numerous fire missions. Finally getting rid of it by chance with an UH60 passing by?
Later I destroyed three enemy batteries, also by UH60s http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif Seems a bit unlikely to me? In start of the game I had drum rolls from time to time - anyone who can tell what that indicated? Have purchased ATF - many hours of combat ahead http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif |

I guess the destruction of batteries vis-a-vis realism depends on the load out of the UH-60s and the type of arty. I think a UH-60 with competent door gunners could give a towed arty battery a hard time (speaking from experience at the JRTC). But your point is taken.
The "drum rolls" might have just been some momentary sound card artifacting of a machine gun. Sometimes, if a lot of firing is going on at once, you will get some distortion. The sounds were really compressed to fit download file size constraints back when the first iteration of the game was built ('98). |

It was two towed batteries and one of BM21s.
Regarding the drum rolls - this happens within the first 5 minutes of game time. So no shooting has taken place? |

It might also be artifacting of artillery impacts that you are not in a position to see (such as chem being dropped http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif )
