The screen sticks to unit
Hello to everybody!
I've installed the 3.0 patch and got a very strange problem. When the unit retreats, the screen sticks, centres and follows it till the edge of the map. I havent seen anything like that in 2.5 version - the screen showed the retreating unit move but didn't centre and stick to it. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif How can I turn it off? |
Re: The screen sticks to unit
You dont.
Now, when a spotted enemy unit moves, then you see the move. In previous version you did not always do so. Useful for watching the AI turn - you can see that tank that flits briefly into LOS, then dissapears out of LOS. Even if nobody engages it. You wont see it in the replay of course as that only shows firing events etc. And now, you only get retreat info on stuff you can see retreating (no "rifle section retreating" message for things behind the hill), the retreaters use the normal pathfinding (not a blind dash to the rear) and as part of use of the normal move one hex code, they are spotted and screen is centred on them as with normal movement in the retreat phase. Since vehicles etc use normal pathfinding - retreaters should not crash into buildings any more than with normal movement. Only a minor change - so not anything worth mentioning in the change list for the game. Cheers Andy |
Re: The screen sticks to unit
Yes, I understand that this is very useful.
I just want the screen not to STICK to the unit. Let it just go across the screen. |
Re: The screen sticks to unit
