Bug: Dominion is wrapping around

I was playing along and got a dominion kill on Mictlan. What was unusual is that I had not yet even encountered them. My start position was on the right edge of the map, they were on the left edge.

The same thing happened to the AI also--I thought I had a dominion kill on an enemy that was being a problem but he wouldn't die. He was in the bottom right part of the map--turns out he had dominion in the province in the bottom left of the map also.

Dominion sometimes spreads in a funny fashion that way. Not necessarily always wrap-around style, I've had dominion candles pop up in random places across the map and then spreading out from the original point of contact. It's been going on since DomPPP. Sometimes that can happen as the result of events (e.g. AI gets the "People have been led astray by a false god" event and the computer randomly draws you as that false god).

I have noticed similar effects. Dominion wraparounds like you describe as well as dominion popping up in far away unconnect provinces and consistantly spreading (hinting that its not a random event.). Its just weird.

I call it a bug, others say thats the way dominions are supposed to work.

If its the result of a random event, its not a bug! I believe Edi is correct, its because of a random event. Its very noticable when you have high dominion and its early in the game.
