map editor, first beta update
Update on the first beta of my online map editor at http://dominions.realites.org/map_editor
- remade the way maps and map files are added to the system : won't change much from the user side, but it will make adding new maps much more easier for me - added several new maps and map files (I can take suggestion of more maps or map files/scenarii, it only take up to a few minutes to parse a map image in order to add the support for this map, and adding a map file need only that I copy the file in the map folder) - added (most) province infos in the province panel : province name, poptype, killpop, killfeature, and above all, the list of all features and commanders/units on the province. Those informations are not editable yet, that is what the second beta will be for, but it's very useful if you made your own scenario and want to check that all units and features are where there's supposed to be. And of course it's still a beta, so if you find a bug, please report it. |

Update report :
- remage completly the province panel to be generated using XSLT. As javascript support for XSLT is not viable for all browsers, I used Ajax to call a Perl script to do the transformation. This will make changing the province panel or adding new features easier. i can now really start working on the next step : changing province informations |
