I have bad news, then I have worse news.
The bad news is that its going to take awhile before I can offer games again.

The worse news is that the backup of the games that were on the server is corrupted. So unless the game was setup to email the files off to someone else each time it hosted, Im afraid that your game is lost. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

OK zip-recovery has made an effort on the file.
Im not sure yet of the quality but I did get the files back.
We will need to wait and see if they are useful.

OK good news finally.

The OS is in.
And it sings! It moves along very nicely.

It also supports patch 3.06 YAY! (I think thats a yay anyway)

So now I have to find out how many of my other services will survive the changes, (MUD, Shard, CGIs, cron jobs like the daily map generations). And then I need to try and recreate the games and things that were running.

Please let me know which of the games that were running need to be put back, and which ones can just be filled in with new games. I already know that mid_spruit was actively being played. Any others?

oh the mail system is still snagging abit so restored games that were setup to notify people by email that the turn was processed, or were pbem games, are still on hold for now.

OK both of my server are again caught up to dominions patch system. We are running 3.06 on both machines.

The blitz check page is back in service altho Im going to slowly add games.
