Does damage from a F9 bless stack with D9 ?

Hello,

I am wondering if the 6AP damage from F9 stacks with 2AN from D9 ?

If this is the case I can see some decent potential for masses of "cheap" blessed troops with 2 attacks due to +4 attack, +6AP damage +2AN damage with a +350% chance for afflictions.

This might give E9/N9 giants some serious problems.

AFAICT, yes, it does stack.

More importantly (when dealing with giants), the increased affliction chance and the bonus damage appears to be multiplicative, so death/fire blessed weapons cause a *lot* of afflictions.

Thank you for your help, I will give it a shot.

E9/N9 EA Niefel vs. F9/D9 Mictlan might get very interesting http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

How does the 6AP damage combine with the regular damage a weapon does.

For example say you end up with an attack of 20 (15 strengh + 5 weapon) + flaming weapons vs a unit with 25 protection. What is the equation for the dice rolls?

I still think you'd be better off with water 9 / fire 9 / death 4 / blood 4. Try an imprisoned smoking mirror with a dominion like the one in that movie.... Apocalypto. Pestilence, things are on fire, etc.

With the defense and speed your jaguar warriors might actually survive http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif.

The 6ap damage from f9 dosnt stack with the regular attack(in maltrease's example, if that attack hit, there would be one regular hit at 20 damage and one flaming hit at 6ap damage

The main thing about Death bless is that it's good to use against SCs with high Protection but average/above average Defense.

Oh, in that sense. Yeah, the fire weapons and death weapons are like secondary-effect-always, and they make the original weapon magical.

Pretty sure they are not secondary-effect-always. The weapon has to hit in order to get the effect.

Hmm, does the affliction "proc" even if the enemy takes no damage ? I thought that damage needs to be caused in order for afflictions to be caused.

Due to this the main point about D9 was the +2AN for me. And either making "sure" that the +6AP will hit or - if the +6AP counts as a different attack - that there is another chance for afflictions from the same attack (maybe even up to 3 if each attack is resolved seperatly).

Except vs. giants I would have been fairly comfortable with F9/W9, but vs. them I was looking for a little more bang for the buck http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif
