(FQM) Planet Star Glows Poll I am working on adding star glows to planets. This will simulate atmosphere effects, as well as serve as a quick visual atmosphere reference. There is a lot of crossover between planet texture color and atmosphere type in SE5... So, which do you prefer? 1 has a larger glow, 2 has a smaller glow. glow 1 glow 2 Answer by voting in the poll. |

Re: (FQM) Planet Star Glows Poll Very Nice #1 |

Re: (FQM) Planet Star Glows Poll I prefer the more subtle version. Gets the point across with a minimum of overkill. |

Re: (FQM) Planet Star Glows Poll Very neat, Fyron. I think #2 does the job: #1 sort of 'sends out light', while #2 does a better job at the 'atmosphere' effect, I'd say. |

Re: (FQM) Planet Star Glows Poll #2 seems a little dull and I understand what you mean by #1 sending out light. Still any improvement to what we have now would be a great benefit for the entire community. It will be interesting to see how the final product turns out. |

Re: (FQM) Planet Star Glows Poll I like the idea of planet glow, but I think it should be subtle. |

Re: (FQM) Planet Star Glows Poll It looks ok, but you should have used a more multi-cultural system to display the effects... |

Re: (FQM) Planet Star Glows Poll I don't want to figure out all the glow colors for the various atmospheres before I get the glow radii by size set... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif |

Re: (FQM) Planet Star Glows Poll I like glow 2 can't wait till you get the colors right, makes the planets look amazing. |

Re: (FQM) Planet Star Glows Poll Hmm, why isn't the ringed planet glowing? And why are those planets in the upper right so bright and shiny? |
