Date in long campaign
I've been playing a long campaign for a while now.
I set it up for 200 games. Still in july 1941 at the moment. I'd quite like to move it along a few months. The editor appears to let you change the date on a save game if you rename it to a scenario but it's ignored by the next game. Is it possible, BTW to max out experience? I hope it's not held in a tinyint (or equivalent). I'm seriously thinking I could go over 255 for a number of my units by war's end. |
Re: Date in long campaign
it is a long campaign game, "renaming it to a scenario" (I presume you mean copying it as a scenario file?)will not set the internal flags.
Dates are calculated internally in the LC code, determined by the delta of the number of battles you chose at the start. You chose 200, so the delta will be small. Also - dates will sometimes skip any periods of inactivity (France 40 to the desert say). Cheers Andy |

Errmm...
So my two questions: 1) Can you edit the date? Am I correct in thinking not with the tools provided? 2) Can you overflow the experience variable? |
