went to end of game-findings
I don;t know if anyone else played to game 1.35 no mods to very end, but I finally did it and was a little disappointed with the ending. All it showed was a square with backround and said "you won the galaxy blah blah, hurrah, hurrah", do you want to keep playing yes or no. I was a little disappointed but it was a h... of a game. I did see things at end never ran into before, such as Phong Last race left, his home planet had 6 starbases with hellbores & pd's as well as 11 wp's, but only 35 troops. Each system he owned had at least 1 planet with 1-2 starbases &11-15 wp's and 200- 400 troops.
Also several large fleets 17+ large trans with pop sitting over his planets as well as a good number of fleets with 5-23 DN's. He finaly surrendered after his home planet was captured and a good number of his other worlds were glazed. Oh well just thought those who never went all the way might be interested... just some ideas mac |
Re: went to end of game-findings
Mac, good points.
I actually played out to the end of the game once myself, and posted here that I thought the ending was itself something of a disappointment. Do you remember the endgame animation to Civ2? Where your guys are setting up on Alpha Centauri, and it plays Also Sprach Zarathustra? But I think Duke Nukem 3D had the best ending ever. It was strictly audio, but as the credits rolled, you heard Duke coming home to his GF, and "getting lucky" http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/ima...ons/icon12.gif Well, anyways, I'm sure Aaron is busy with other stuff, and getting the cool stuff like Drones working is more important than end-game http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif |
