Re: newb question

One of you will host the game.
The easiest way is with the tcp/ip direct connection.

From the menu choose Network, then Setup Dominions Server, pick a port such as 9999, pick a game name, then an era (you only get Early). just follow the prompts.
Then drop the game to the bar.

Now you will both have to have premade gods using the "Game Tools". Then connect to the game using Network, the IP of the host machine, and the port number. Select a nation and when you are both in then hit start

The host machine is better off opening two copies of Dominions. One to host and one to play.

Re: newb question

That is correct. After you both have joined and one of you pressed start, switch back to the "host" dominion, pick map and settings and press oki...then you are good to go.

thanks a lot it worked very good ^^

=EDIT=
It worked on my pals pc but it dosent work for me -_-
While i try to connect to the game i hosted it seems to be impossible. When i looked up this situation i saw that the IP dom3 uses when it makes my game is diffrent then my ip thats is used on the internet. Do u know why and what do i have to do for it to work ?

You might have a home network setup. The IPs for machine to machine inside your network might be different than the one used to talk to the rest of the world. Try using 127.0.0.1

There are commands you can use to see what IPs are being used. But running them can be a headache. Is this a windows machine? xp? Do you know how to open a DOS command window?

Re: newb question

Try opening a dos window and typing ipconfig

if it gives you an IP different than you show when you are out on the net, then use that IP to connect to your own host.

If you brother cant connect by using the IP you show when you are out on the net then you probably have a problem with your firewall
