Mod Pack
 
I just wanted to send out a big congrats to all involved in the making of the TDM-ModPack. I am currently using is in a game (V 1.35) and am having quite a challenge against the Cue-Cappa (sp). They attacked me right of the start (10 turns in) and have been quite aggresive ever since. Again, kudos to the ModPack team.

I have them in my game too, and they are the only race besides the Rage still at war with me. They refuse treaties even though politics shows them as Brotherly to me. Last turn they sent yet another big suicide fleet of light cruisers against my colony in their home system Ein. They need minesweepers, but since it is only turn 47 they might not have gotten the tech yet. I reckon that I will see sweeping soon enough. Meanwhile I am building phased polaron beam fighters as fast as I can. I cannot afford ships yet, since I am spending all my minerals on base maintenance and building more yard bases. See "TDM-Modpack politics in really big game" for my plan to conquer map6, which has 51 sphereworlds and over 7000 planets.

TMD Modpack races rarely sweep. Its a fatal flaw in the AI.

Where can I find the TDM-MOD pack? Is it at US or Hyperionbase? do I have to look in the extensive MOD section of the Intel forums?

I'm not so sure. The modpack races in my current game are sweeping just fine. The CueCappa just cleared a 130 size minefield in one shot with a fleet of 50 ships, taking no losses. Most of the ship designs in the fleet remain a mystery as I have yet to encounter it with a fleet and we now have a treaty (my fleet didn't get there until the same turn the treaty went into effect, a miscalculation on my part), but several of the designs I do know are attack ships with a single mine sweeper component. This was only several turns after they had first encountered the field and lost the ship which entered it.

Say WHAT ?!?! I am using TDM-Modpack and they are sweeping me regularly. You just have to give them time to learn the tech. Mine is a ten good planet start and the sweeping started at a modest six per sweeper before turn 20. I would have to check what it is at 47 but it has been going up steadily per ship and the attacks have been coming more often. So give em time, they will sweep you for sure!

Cose timing! I forgot to mention, I am being swept by Rage and Cue Cappa. Until I made peace I was being swept by Sallegra and Drushocka. Replacing the mines is a steady drain on resources. Try making peace with your opponents. That way you do not have to replace mines, and you get the treaty income. You can keep the peace even with Murderous races. See my posting "TDM-Modpack politics in really big game" to learn how, and get some stats on trade income. It PAYS to trade.

It's definately in the mod archive. Doesn't seem to be at HB and US. v1.72 is the latest IIRC.
