WEll, after a year without a home PC, I finally got mine back yesterday. One of the first things I did was install SEIVD (I can't find my gold disc), but since I had a whole new OS put in (Windows 2K Pro), I didn't have WinZip or WinRar installed on the computer yet. And apparantly there's a compatility problem with my old discs being formatted under ME. So I was able to start a stock game, but nothing else. The discs I've downloading onto since this past summer had some sort of DLA format to them, and that's why I'm here now trying to convert them so that I can use them at home. It's frustrating to have these glitches, but at least I can play SEIV. Hopefully I can get that SEV demo to work so I can see how that works.

Welcome back! Once you get SE4 working again there are lots of PBW games to join.

Well, I don't have the time or internet access to allow me to go PBW, but thanks for the invite anyway.

My main concern with Deluxe is where is the mod launcher? I know on Gold there was one included on the disc, but there doesn't seem to be one on the deluxe version. How do I play the oh so many mods that are out there? I'm a little rusty, so please let me know. I can't way to play the latest version of Atrocities' Star Trek mod.

In Gold, the launcher and all the other included mods were in the Extras folder on the CD. I've always assumed they were in the same place in Deluxe, but I upgraded via the free 75M patch rather than buying another CD.

Thanks for the info. I'll check it out when I get home, although right now I am playing SEV. That's a whole different subject, though.
