Minefields above planets

Hi folks,

I have a problem with an AI invading my home system and I need to know just how minefields work above my planets. I seem to have had a couple of smaller planets glassed by the AI and they didn't have to tangle with the minefields.
What I'm saying is it seems that minefields (MFs) act differently above occupied planets than they do in a Warp Point..

Would someone in the know please explain the differences?

Thanks in advance!

Regards,

Rob aka dethgod74

I can't think of any differences, except they are triggered when moved into sideways, instead of via warping in.

Enemy minefields are triggered any way you move into the sector (save perhaps random events), either by moving sector to sector, or traveling through a warp point. There is no difference.
