Astral Projection vs. Astral Window

Is the only difference between these two spells the risk of getting caught that comes with Astral Projection?

Oh, one more question:

Do domes prevent scrying via either of these two spells?

only if they are up before the spell. (they block all incoming spells, whether its scrying, or teleportation, or what have you.)
