"Moscow. In the nearest some years regarding marines of the Navy of the Russian Federation will arrive new kinds of arms and technical equipment, in particular armour, the chief of an army headquarters of coastal armies of the Navy of Russia general-major Alexander Zastavsky has declared "Interfax-ABN".

"Till 2010 we plan to take into service new an BTR-90 in exchange an BTR-80, new BMP-3F and modernized multi-purpose tractor MTLB", - he has told.

As he said, while BTR-90 in units of marines is not present any. "BMP-3F; successfully passes a stage of tests on Northern fleet, and on their results, we hope, in two-three years the new armour vehicle will arrive in armies".

"BMP-3F the improved seaworthiness distinguishes, ability to conduct aim fire both on float, and on coast", - was noted by A.Zastavsky.

The multi-purpose tractor MTLB now passes modernization, and for today one batallion of marines of the Caspian flotilla is made already up by this technical equipment, the general has informed.

He has told, that modernization MTLB concerns, first of all, arms. "On the modernized machine instead of a machine gun of 7,62 mm will be put depending on a variant of configuration a large-calibre machine gun of 14,5 mm or a gun of 30 mm", - has declared A.Zastavsky.

He also has informed, that reequipment of marines will concern new communications systems and control systems of armies and fire.

On November, 27th in Russia 301-st anniversary of creation of marines is marked{celebrated}."

I suggest developers to add in game MTLB with 14.5 mg and 30mm autocannon - since November, 2006.

Also I wish to pay attention of developers to earlier modernizations MTLB.
Here on this site it is written about an exhibition in city Pskov (last paragraph and a photo):
