1 Player out of 8 having problems
 

I'm running a PBW game right now with a group of friends. We're still v1.25 with BM 1.03

About turn 20 the game wouldn't load after it was processed so I tried processing the turn with noone turning anything in only to find out that with no turn files the computer thought the game was over. I then uploaded the previous turn to the problem and it appeared as if the problem was fixed.

However, one of the players says that he only was recieving the same turn file for the next 2 turns and then suddenly he got a new turn file that appeared as if the computer ran the last 3 turns.

Does anyone have any idea what might have happened?

A guess:

Maybe the player accidentally ran the same turn twice in a row (OR, he accidentally sent the same orders file twice in a row), and so the orders file he submitted (for the turn before you noticed the problem) was for the previous turn, and therefore didn't work. Meanwhile, the game server saw this as a couple of bad turn submissions from that player, and so had the AI run his empire for him in the meantime.

I think it's a problem with PBW: I often recieve the same turn two turns in a row by e-mail (but can still get the correct turn from the website).

The host can check whether a player submitted the same turn file more than once by looking at the file sizes on the Game Admin page. If two different .plr files are the exact same size, one is almost certainly a duplicate.
