Question about aircraft Range Finders
 

I know level bombers require neither Fire Control nor Range Finders.
I've noticed all aircraft have a Fire Control rating (I suppose a Sopwith Camel might not tho).
But -
A few aircraft however seem to have a Range Finder rating (OOB 13 the A-7 and JTF's).
Does this actually do anything in the game?

In the original SSI games' data, no planes ever had the field filled in. So we naturally used the same convention. (It would probably work, but there really is no great need given the way air weapons work).

However these have crept into about 14 units, mainly in the USMC, for unknown reasons. We will likely delete those at some point to bring them into line.
