Arch Devil Igarak banish to Inferno?
 

The Arch Devil Igarak has an infernal scythe which claims that it will banish to inferno anyone damaged by it. Is this not supposed to be unresistable like the similar blood spell? I sent him up against a very well equipped Tartarian cyclops which was causing me considerable grief, only to watch in frustration as the cyclops clearly took damage (several times) and had a little poofy icon appear- but no banishment. So, is this effect somehow resistable, are Tartarians immune, or is this a bug? Hmmm, he was also wearing Boots of the Planes, now that I think about it that seems more likely, do they protect against banishment?

According to Edis' Weapon DB whe scythe effect can be resisted by a MR check.

I think without MR, it would be the most powerfull weapon in the game. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

So I'm assuming penetration boosting items aren't going to help with the check caused by items like this?

I think the Inferno Sword is dependant on an mr check as well, even though it says that it doesn't. One of my Seraphs was struck several times by an Inferno Sword wielding Arch Devil and was not banished.
