Name of groups
It's good to choose between English names and native names. For example, its difficult for me to use French OOB.

Re: Name of groups
If you can manage the English names, use the unit class name in the buy menu details to figure out what units are for. This name doesn't change with the country.
Anyway there's worse than the French OOB in my opinion, there isn't as many French names in this one as German names in OOB 44. |
Re: Name of groups
Well, I guess that choice between English and native names would bring more interest to the game. This would reflect tne mentality of each nation.

Re: Name of groups
Heh, I was considering turning formation and unit names in the Czech OOB to Czech but I have reconsidered that, as it would most likely be against the Geneva Conventions http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Re: Name of groups
We have tried to minimized "Native names" in MBT as much as possible. The restrictions on word length in the game means too many have to be abbreviated which leads to more confusion. The trend was reversed in SPWW2 two releases ago when the Hungarian OOB formation names were changed to English. It makes that OOB more accessible to many more people than it was previously Don |
