Crazy thought - Stealing Globals?
 
I've never seen this happen, and haven't experimented to see how the game would handle this. I presume the game would either (a) keep the Global acting as it already was, or (b) cancel the Global, as if the caster were "killed".

But to the point - I'm wondering what would happen if a Commander cast a Global ritual, and then were subsequently captured through a Seduce, Charm, Enslave Mind or the like?!

It would be pretty interesting if the Global ritual would "switch" to the new pretender / nation too!

Interesting, I assume the global would go down as if the mage in question had died but I am not 100% sure.

I have and the results were pretty odd. I was fighting Marignon as rlyeh. He had sea of ice as well as gift of nature up. In one of the last fights i enslaved both his global mages and the result was that the globals stayed up, and they remained up even after his whole empire had vanished. I then drowned those global mages using a gateway spell, but it changed nothing, the spells remained intact.

That's good to know. Persistent globals have been reported as a bug and this additional detailed information could well help narrow it down.
