Farscape
 
Anybody thought about doing a farscape shipset? One thing I will say about that show is it has some bad @ss looking ships.

I would like to add:
Not only the ships are "bad @ss looking". There are some bad *** looking females as well. And the script is terrific, the characters are great and the storyline is something that makes X-files look like a cartoon.

The difference is that you could take an x-files episode from the seventh season and place it in the first, second or anyother season (unless it's one of those triloly episodes when you would have to take the whole trilogy). You can't do that with Farscape because the storyline development has some intelligence behind it.

Okay! I'll start with da PEACEKEEPERS empire.

But there's something that needs to be fixed:
Starbursting - because wormholes are very rare in the Farscape world.

Is there a way to move from system to system without using wormholes?

Actually it would just be the leviathans that can starburst, second for living ships just make a new hull: Leviathen hull.

That was one thing I have always wondered about the show, leviathens get around by starbursting, but how does everybody else get around?

Very slowly!

I liked wathcign farscape when I had chance, but can you all think of 24 different ship types, and weapon platforms, and fighters, and troops. . .

Moya wouldn't come into at all. It'd have to be a peacekeeper fleet :-\ http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon9.gif evil people.

Actually, Moya'd be simple, though fairly high-tech.

Starbursting's closest approximation in SEIV would be Moya having a Gravitational Quantum Resonator AND a Gravitational Condenser, along with a third component (say, a Machine Shop 1 from Pirates & Nomads) that repairs 1 component per turn -- to keep the warp point open/close rate down by making it slower to repair (2 turns, barring you adding in more machine shops).

'course, a ship like Moya wouldn't be too useful in SEIV -- Leviathans, after all, are basically large cargo ships in Farscape.

But it'd be cool.

Yes liviathens would be about worthless for anything but cargo movement and as a troop ship. But then you have her offspring talyn, now that would be one bad @ss ship, especially if you could make it as tough as it is in farscape.

Hmm... well, this is going to be a bit off-topic, but since there are some fans here...

Would anyone mind sending me a summary of the new episodes after they air, and of the first in season 3 (aired Last Friday)? Or, if you know of one, point me to a site that does summaries of Farscape episodes? I was away on vacation for the season 3 premier, and I will be gone from this Saturday to August 5th, and will be unable to watch for myself http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon9.gif
