Do Ichtyid warriors get a patrol bonus?

I had a 357 unrest and patroled with a 120+ mixed army of archers, H Inf, and wolf warriors to not very good results. Then I replaced them with 70 Ichtyid's to cover the castle province while I went warring and they put my other army to shame. Rebels started dropping like flies. A sizable drop in unrest every turn.

Do amphibians get a patrol bonus?

I guess they just swim up rivers till they find a rebel camp.

Amphibs / Ichys don't get any patrol bonus that I'm aware of. Probably the difference was that your HI and Archers had low movement and thus made poor patrollers. Whereas the Ichys are basically LI and have pretty good movement. Plus you might have just been unlucky with the big army.

Sounds to me like some one was using spies to instill unrest and then they pulled the spies out. Was there another obvious cause for the unrest? Was this a MP game? Was the unrest in your capital or important province?
