SEV Game Mechanics Question: Analyzing
 

Lets say I have Light Hulls 3, BUT haven't research Destroyer hulls at all. If I analyze a Destroyer Hull will I get Destroyers 1 or nothing at all since I have nothing started in Destroyers?

Same question to Plasma Missles. If I have Chemistry 1 and not reached the level to get Plasma Missles. If I Analyze a ship with Plasma missles will I get them?

I think I may have answered my own question answered: Its a function of the "Theoretical Level" Since I have Hulls opened for researching. I THINK you would get destroyers level 1, but I haven't opened Plasma Missles, so I will not get them or Chemistry 2. Because the "Theoretical" options are open on the hulls, but not discovered on the Chemistry/Plasma technology.

I think that technologies will be discovered, but unreached.

If you don't have the preliminar technologies, you will (probably) get the use of components, or ship hulls, but the science project itself won't appear in the research window.
