Lost Map

I have been away from the SP world for a while. I just bought the SPMBT CD and installed and patched it yesterday. I must say that I absolutely love this game. Great job to all those involved in producing this product. my question is this: using the map editor I created a map to use in test games. I can see it listed in the map editor but I cannot find it in the WinSPMBT\Maps folder. I would like to be able to move maps between computers so if work is slow I can play with maps and then test them at home. Are generated maps saved in a different location?

found 'em. They are saved under the AppData folder of my profile. Looking forward to a great weekend of MBT Battles!

Your maps will be in the \maps sub-folder under wherever you installed the game.

Map name will be held in the .cmt file as usual, data in the .dat file for the map slot number you saved to.

I've never heard of an "appdata" folder - is this windows 2000?

Cheers
Andy

The computer is Windows Vista (My office Computer). I expected to find them in the \maps folder so when I didn't I became comfused. I am not sure why Vista put them there but now that I know, I will remember to look there.

Vista is not really a supported operating system (though the game runs on it) as it may do weird things like this. Those who have switched tell us that the game does actually work, in the main.

Once one of us actually gets a vista machine (there is no real pressing need if you are happy with your existing windows box) we may figure out what Microsoft has managed to break in their latest incarnation of Windows. Maybe in a year or 2 down the line.

cheers
Andy
