4 Questions
1>How are the 5 (10 w/ ring) body guards selected during an assassination attempt? Are the ones furthest to left chosen first or is it random or...?
2>If a Lamia Queen is killed with Twiceborn on does she revert to her snake form before Twiceborn occurs? 3>If a commander has a cursed werewolf amulet on and is then given the pebble skin suit which transformation would prevail or would the commander be transforming back and forth between troll & werewolf during the game? 4>Given the huge gold dependency AI nations have from the upkeep on all their hired chaff and it's limited summoned units shouldn't AI nations completely avoid casting Utterdark at all (aside from Ermor)? When AI nations cast Eyes of God does it help them at all or is it just throwing it's gems away? |
Re: 4 Questions
1) I've heard it was random. Though it may also be the ones furthest to the top (On the army placement grid).
3) I believe the latter (multiple random transformations). 4a) Yes, it probably should avoid it. The best probable solution is that each nation should have a list of globals that it should cast, or the converse, a list of never-cast globals. |
Re: 4 Questions
4) there might be some preferences on globals, but I suspect it isn't much.

2) The safe way to guarantee the lamia queen gets the twiceborn to work is first have her 'change shape' outside of battle, then cast twiceborn. In this new form her magic might be weaker so she might need a ring of sorcery to cast the twiceborn. 3) Not sure... I believe it would keep switching back and forth, but the troll armor takes a long time before changing a shape. 4) Eyes of God... does very little for the AI. It only allows it to catch stealthy units more often. Ideally the AI should never cast this spell especially since a counter spell exists to cause the caster to go blind. |
Re: 4 Questions
4) Actually I believe it has some effects on the AI. It gets knowledge on your armies in its dominion, and info on your provinces. The AI is not supposed to know stuff just because it is an AI. I don't know how much privileged info it has access to, but I think it is limited. OTOH if the AI gets useful info from Eyes of God, I'm not sure it can handle the info in any meaningful way. Perhaps if it is caelum it will start with flying attacks inside your lands, since it seet that you own them, and not just the borders. I dont know what id can and cannot do, since JK made the AI.
Still, I think Eyes of God can have a limitet effect on the AI. |
Re: 4 Questions
The best use I know of for Eyes of God is to scope out which provinces are rich and therefore good to raid. Maybe the AI can take advantage of that?
