I know that this is an expensive program but I know there are others out there. Its just that we have such BEAUTIFUL ships and such horrible race images. Galleries like this make me cry.

There's not a whole lot you can do with 128x128 pixels.

There are forums where we could probably make a request. Just like this forum when someone requests a shipset. You could give a brief description of what you think your race looks like, an attitude you would like displayed, preferred colors, etc. Then different artists there could toss up offerings. Since we are only looking for a portrait instead of a full 3D rotating avatar then it would be a fun and fast project for some of those guys. Especially since we would want it to be fairly simple (so it would shrink well for the different image sizes)

I also stumbled on a great way to get music for games but Im trying to figure out where to post that. Im thinking Shrapnel Development.

I have a few spare hand-drawn race pics kicking about somewhere. I'd offer to draw you a custom one except I have so far failed to deliver on the last few offers I made...
