Nasty lockup

Im playing the game and suddenly all the items on screen disappear, units heros recruitment panels and all that is gone, i can just see the plain map. Any ideas what might be wrong? It happens really too often.

You just met the copyright protection system in action. Try deleting the "key" file in your dominions library and retype the key again on startup. Alternatively, contact Shrapnel tech support.

Oh, and if you haven't actually bought the game you should. It is more than worth the money. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

We bought the game with a friend, since we are not very rich, and im using a no-cd version so that we could play over internet with him, he is having the real game.

You need your own.

Also... there is no "no-cd" version.

I believe this is what he is using: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No-CD_crack

Either way he needs his own copy of the game to play. All else is to be considered piracy I believe.

Not sure why someone would say/admit that they are using an illegal version on the Official Forums.(Though, assuming he's telling the truth, he didn't really have any malicious intents, since one of them bought it)

Who here sticks their Dominions 3 cd in their computer every time they play the game? Hmmm? Shovah?

Re: Nasty lockup

You don't need the CD in the drive anyway though. Why would you use a no-CD crack?

Re: Nasty lockup

Perhaps that's what he means by no-CD.
