soul gate?
 

I can't find any description of Soul Gate in my manual. its mentioned in the LA ermor nation description, but not mentioned in the spell index. Apparently, it makes spawned units ethereal, but what is the school, path and cost?

Also, if I'm just newbing out here, what page is it on?

I don't have my manual with me at the moment but there is a spell index before the spell descriptions which lists what page each spell is on. There are a couple omissions though, (primarily stuff that was added since the game was release in free expansions) it's possible SG isn't listed in the manual. More likely you're missing it because it's under the "national spells" section rather than the "death".

Another common practice is to make games with every nation in them all set to human for each era, that way you can go in and check their units and national spells...just go into a game as LA Ermor and look at the spell list, Soul Gate should pop out at you pretty quickly since it'll be in blue (as are all national spells). I believe Soul Gate also spawns you some level 1 priests as leaders and has some other effects (I think someone mentioned Wailing ladies showing up in small numbers) so it's not JUST making your normal chaff ethereal.

The spells Soul Gate, Illwinter, and Carrion Woods are not in the manual.
