I seem to remember reading somewhere that when you are on the army screen, there was a hotkey you could press that would hide all the leaders not containing military units.......or mayb it just put all the leaders with military units attached to the top so you could check your armies without having to pick them out of dozens of mages without units attached to them. Anyone know of this?

Tab hides all the researchers. That's probably what you remember. Not quite what you want as forging and casting mages are still visible, but it helps.

tab hided them in dom2 but not anymore in dom3 right ?

Still does, only in the army setup screen though.
