Now this is Funny/Strange!

I am playing a game with full AI on just to test/tweak some more AI's (re-working Starwars Empire I and the Y'Gath some more) and everything is going fine, then the AI I am watching has an event hit it (low occurance, catasrophic level), suddenly one of its Base Space Yards is teleported halfway accross the map into a nebula system. So they now effectively have a hidden base that produces ships. Mighty strange, I could see a ship being 'blown' off course but a base? http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/ima...ons/icon12.gif

It would be so cool if we this could be controlled and done on command. We could have a component that would do this and have a true "warp drive".

This happend to one of my SY bases once. I immeadibly decided to upgrade the SY to lvl3 so I could start cranking out the ships - but I forgot to retrofit it with a repair unit first. The end resulting was a retrofitted base with damaged componenets 5 systems away form my nearest repair ship.

Damn, the AI just scrapped the base, getting hammered by the Borg. Too bad the AI can't figure out the strategic importance of that base when it was 5 systems away in a nebula.

Man, that's even worse than the time I had a mothballed scout warped out of the isolated cluster I was stuck in. http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif

ROFL! I remember that happening! We had a big thread talking about the poor janitor on that mothballed ship being stranded lightyears from home on a ship with no way to get home.

Hey I'll bet the ship is really clean. Hehehe...

Yep, the scout was probably spotless right up until that Cryslonite decided to use it for target practice as he was passing by.
