Re: Question Re Satellites and Supplies
Ok, uve selected your sats. But are u sure that the ships u are firing at are actually from another empire (im assuming u are using simulator not normal combat). Its possible to initiate simulated combat with only ships and units from the one empire (made that mistake a few times http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/ima...ons/icon12.gif )
If they are from another empire, and u have selected your sats before firing then ive got no idea why its giving u that message. |

In reality, the game allows you to keep firing when you run out of supplies (even on ships); however, movement is reduced to 1 or 0. Since satellites can't move anyway, running out of supplies on a satellite has no effect. |
Question Re Satellites and Supplies
Hi all
If most weapons 'use' supplies when they are fired, don't you need to put a supply crate on your defense satellites? Also, can anybody explain why I'm getting the message 'you cannot attack your allies' when I try to engage enemy ships with my satellites in tactical combat mode? |
Re: Question Re Satellites and Supplies
Are u sure that u actually had your satellite(s) selected when u tried to fire?
Ive sometimes tested designs in tactical and after the enemy finishes their turn i try to attack and its still selected the Last enemy ship to move and i get the same message as u got. then i just select my unit and i can play as usual. |
Re: Question Re Satellites and Supplies
Yep. Clicked on satellite to select it, then clicked on target to fire.
