Help! My map generator isn\'t working...
 

It is going to be hard to describe what is happening to me but here goes.

When I genarate random maps for a quick random start(i.e. small, medium, or large maps) the actual visual of the map stays the same no matter what the settings are. (i.e. the borders are the same, land and water tiles are all drawn the exact same.) It randomly places my kingdom and flags representing each territory. However the flags often don't even correspond to the territories drawn on the map Some territories even have several flags. What is going on? I reset my resolution to a higher level but I hope that isn't what is wrong. I do have 1.10 patch installed.

um. this is the random map maker that comes with the game? if so, baffling. reinstall and repatch?

Don't regenerate a random map with the same name, without deleting the previous one.

Delete the old game before starting a new one.

I had a similar problem with making random maps also. May still have it but I only used map creation maps now.

I used to save the game, quit and then when I reloaded the game the map image was correct. Go figure.

It was the naming problem. Now it works fine as long as I delete the saved game first.
