Hall of Fame Mechanics
How exactly does one get into the Hall of Fame? It seems to be generally either number of kills or experience points, but the ranking isn't strictly ordered according to any of these two stats, nor is it a total of kills and xp. How is it calculated?

Re: Hall of Fame Mechanics
After some discussion on the doms irc, it seems that you are ranked according to a score which is computed by (2 x kills) + (10 x deaths) + experience.

Re: Hall of Fame Mechanics
deaths? like, the deaths you have witnessed, or your own deaths?

Re: Hall of Fame Mechanics
Your own deaths, symbolized by the number of crosses when viewing the hall of fame. Multiple deaths is only possible with immortal units, or pretenders that can be called back.

Re: Hall of Fame Mechanics
cool. stupid question, but how do you get experinece?

Re: Hall of Fame Mechanics
IIRC Paticipating in battles, winning battles and scoring hits on enemies(I think) are the ways to gain experience. A small amount of experience is also gained over time.

And nobody saw fit to inform me of Twan's earlier work so I could have shamelessly stolen parts of it after the FAQ thread first went up?!

Re: Hall of Fame Mechanics
Related question: in another thread there was a suggestion that the kind of heroic ability you get may be related to something - unit type. Or perhaps the WAY you behaved ? For example if you got a lot of kills you might have legendary cruelty more often.
How do you get heroic research ? I don't think I got this even once. |
