Question on Loading Multiplayer Games

Hey all,

I'm pretty new here and I have a question. A couple of friends of mine and I were playing a multiplayer game and then stopped playing after a few hours. Now, whenever I load the game up, it does not go to the usual host screen but instead just runs the turn through... So, I'm not sure how to get everyone connected so we can continue.

How do we load this back up properly?

Thanks.

P.S. I don't know if this matters but we are playing the demo (they haven't received their full copy yet http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/smirk.gif)

I'm not sure I understand what's happening.
Can you explain exactly what you click when, etc?
Sorry

Well, I start up the game and I go to "play an existing game." I select the saved game; I get a "Play a Nation" display showing the player's races and I am given a selection of "host" or "exit." The game will also allow me to play any of the races displayed, if I have the password. If I select "host," it says:

"Not everyone has played their turn. Are you sure you want to advance to the next turn?"

If I click "host anyways" it seems to run the turn and then go back to the same screen asking me to "host" or "exit." It never seems to allow me to host the game up so that the others can connect.

I assume you mean that you started a network game since hotseat would work like this. You just use Network >> setup a network game, then enter a port number and the same game name like before. Bam, the server screen is back.

Ah, yes, thanks. That's what I was looking for. I didn't see a load game in the network area so I was a bit confused.

I would not have thought to try it that way http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
