Velusion Stales?
 

I've gotten a stale turn each in both Evermore and Allegiances 2, and I know I've been paying attention recently (slip-up in Allegiances 2 notwithstanding). Has anyone else gotten mysterious stales?

Nope. Both those games are hosted on Velusion's computer and I'm in 4 different games on there with no problem. Are you submitting turns which aren't being registered, or are you missing the host schedule for some reason?

on vel's servers, you can always check the status page - it will show whether you have uploaded or not

but there was someone else who seemed to have the same experience, in the last few pages of the evermore thread.

Is it formally stating that you staled?

I just got my turn for Sophistry. Another Velusion hosted game, and another stale turn. I think the server needs a checkup.

Technically this can happen if two nations on a server are being played with the same key. So unless you are really playing two nations at the same time there, Velusion should check (via --verify, it returns a hash value for the key) if there's another player with the same key in these games.

If it was the CD key causing troubles DryaUnda would get a message to that effect.

The status page show's whether or not the server considers a turn to have been submitted - in those turns that you have staled, 1) did you just upload and not go in to the game to check? and 2) did you check the status page ever, and did it say your turn had been submitted?
