OT: Telling If Your PC Is
I am thinking about upgrading my HP POS but I don't know how to tell what my AGP is. Is it compatable with AGP 8x or not.

Re: OT: Telling If Your PC Is
the 5700 Ultra was only made as a AGP card so yes you have a AGP slot and judging by the age of your computer I would say its 8x but the newer card would work with a 4x

Re: OT: Telling If Your PC Is
Have a peek in your BIOS settings, that will usually tell you. I wish I could tell you exactly what to look for, but my mobo doesn't have any AGP slots. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif

Re: OT: Telling If Your PC Is
Thanks guys. As soon as I can afford it I am going to order the new video card. I need to figure out what kind of memory this POS uses and double it if I can.

Re: OT: Telling If Your PC Is
Simply tell me which motherboard (Vendor, Type, Release) you have and I'll go and look up what you need to know ;-)
Yes, I'm too lazy to look the info 'bout the pavillion up myself. On the other hand, both will most likely result in the same thing .. there I go, hunting for info on the hp pages .. |
