Gift of Health + Disease

Had some time to hit a game or 2 of Dom 3 over Xmas. In my present game I'm getting a lot of diease all over the place - for example in one place I have 15 leaders and half of them are diseased, likewise 50% in another place. I have the globals "Gift of Health" and "Gift of Nature's Bounty". There is also "Stellar Focus", "Riches from Below" and "Dark Skies". I only cast Nature's Bounty a few turns below so it isn't that. Am I just unlucky or is for example "Gift of Health" nerfed at the moment - patch level 3.10?

I could be wrong, but I thought gift of health didn't cure disease.
Also, I think they have to be in your dominion to heal, just incase they are not(the higher the better).

It worked fine for me in an SP game curing disease. AI Ermor would cast Burden of Time from all the way across the world every 3 months, and I'd get a bunch of diseased units before the Dispel.

As Shovah said, you have to be in-dominion for it, and it's also not a 100% cure rate every turn.

Thanks all - but I'm not "complaining" that the gift of health is or is ont curing me, more that I am getting a hell of a lot of commanders diseased when it isn't even time for their bedtime never mind old age or anything like that. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Its not happening in the same place so it isnt site based or anything. Maybe I am just being real unlucky.

MA C'tis and Miasma dominion? That can be quite nasty if you're unprepared for it.

There are several sites that cause disease in units. Most of them are death sites, but here are one or two blood sites as well. If you have one of those sites in the province in question, your commanders will get diseased despite GoH, though it will also remove the disease sooner or later and then the site will just put it back in. Relocate.
