Here's my goal:
-this new race I'm makeing is set to neutral when you encounter them (working).
-have a stranded fighter that you can pick up and add to your flotilla (working).
-encounters with this race while you have the stranded fighter are friendly (working, mostly).
-upon encountering this race's homeworld, if you have the stranded fighter, they're friendly, if not, then they attack. (kinda not really working).

here's what's not quite working right:
-encounters while with the stranded fighter are friendly, but only the first one displays the popup (i want them all to give a popup)
-encounters with the homeworld MUST have a dialogue popup when you reach them, but i get nothing:< i've tried substituting the 'encounter' with 'preenc' but that breaks things.

Any suggestions would be great. i've attached the quest file for you to look at as well.

I think 'encounter' only happens if the race is non-friendly. It only triggers works when there's going to be a radar screen.

That would explain why you're only getting the encounter the first time you meet them with a fighter - after that they turn friendly, and never again go to radar. It's probably something similar for the homeworld issue you're having as well.
