Message that pretenders breaking free
 

I know the dormant pretender message is broadcast on turn 9 of the game. But I thought the imprisoned pretenders are starting to break free message came in early spring of year 3.

In a mp game I am in, it is late spring of year 3 and no message. I know that the time varies when the imprisoned pretenders actually break free for each race, but I thought the general message was broadcast on a turn certain.

Anyone know the dynamics of the message announcement?

I don't think there's a general "break free" message, like there is with dormant. I think the breaking free of any individual imprisoned pretender gets broadcast to all players.

I tested it and it seemed pretty random if nation X or nation Y would get a message when nation Z's pretender broke free. Sometimes X would get a message and Y would not, or vice versa, or both would or would not.
