A question about Heat From Hell

What are the exact effects of Heat from Hell spell?
Does Relief or Fire Ward protects against Heat from Hell?

Thanks

Relief reduces fatigue - there's no reason that wouldn't at least mitigate Heat from Hell.

It certainly feels like fire resistance should reduce its effects too - if the spell basically creates a heat aura-type effect then it should.

If you know the province where you're going to be facing the spell, cast Wolven Winter at that province.

Edit: Oh, and of course Rain reduces the effect as well.

But what are exactly the effects of Heat From Hell spell? Fatigue?

It details it pretty well in the rulebook.

Every unit on the battlefield has a 50% chance of suffering fatigue damage each turn. The fatigue is modified by the heat scale of the province and whether or not it is raining.

its not that much fatigue, so it is really only useful for large battles; except it will likely affect most of your own troops as well...

This spell is has a couple of uses.

1. You can use it on a high F SC with 100 fire resistance as a kill spell. Simply cast it, and then let your double shield wielding SC run around the battlefield while the enemy troops die of fatigue. Once enemy troops reach 200 fatigue, this spell begins to do damage.

2. Any army, large or small, immune to fire can make good use of it. Abysia comes to mind, but you might be able to do something with devils off of soul contracts for any given blood nation.

3. Any situation where you have high reinvigoration troops such as an E9 bless, and the enemy has a large number of high encumbrance troops.

So I could cast Relief and a couple of Fire Ward before HfH and wait for the enemies cooking ... interesting.
