Dual-Screen problem

Hey there,

i have a problem which goes like this:

I have a decent computer with a Geforce 7900 GT and a TFT-Screen with resolution up to 1280 * 1024. Now, i always need more visuals. I imagine something like running my browser or a game in one monitor and read a .pdf or watch a movie on a second screen. So i got myself my sisters older TFT which has a maximum resolution of 1024 * 768. Im using the nView-panel and basicly i can clone both screens in 1280 * 1024. This results in both screens showing the same, and moving the mouse around will scroll the screen on the smaller TFT. Now thats not what i want.
I as well can tell nView to order both screen either vertical or horizontal. By doing so however, the bigger TFT will scale down to the smaller TFTs resolution, which means the resolution will be 2048 * 768. I dont like this either, because it splits all programm in half and forces me to work with a black side on each monitor.

Basicly, is it possible to arrange what i have in mind, or do i need to exchange my smaller TFT for another TFT which exactly fits the first, bigger one (i.e. 2x 1280 * 1024) ?!

Re: Dual-Screen problem

It should be possible assuming the Video Card and drivers can handle two monitors.
Using the Video Card software, you want to change to something like "Output to Extended Desktop".
Then in Display Properties, Settings you should see 2 monitors of which you can specify each monitors resolution.

Re: Dual-Screen problem

I got it. Somehow i have to Nvidia control station, "nView" and "nVidia Control Panel". I was able to set them up the Control Panel instead of using the nView. thanks.
