Where to Find Custom Maps?
 

Folks,

Some people already know about this, but I wanted to publicly announce a new website created to help anyone find high quality custom dominions 3 maps. As of this initial posting, there are 26 custom maps there, easy to find and search, with screenshots, short descriptions, ratings and reviews. Anyone can go and download them, easy as pie.

If you go the website you can use the top navigation to become a member, to read the FAQ or to just start looking at maps.
Other map collections exist, but I wanted to try to create one site that had EVERYTHING. It will only work if the community supports it. Towards that end, I ask map makers to go and post maps there. And I ask people who play on custom maps to please post written reviews of the maps they download and play, and to rate the maps so other users have a good idea of which maps might be most to their liking.

Credit for this site goes to all the great folks who make the dom 3 community what it is.

(P.S. Anyone with power willing to sticky this? I posted it in the main thread instead of the maps thread because I want people who don['t make maps but just play the game to see it. And I think map makers will find it here quite easily. If it is stickied, I hope more people will use the site, and its usefulness depends on how many people use it, add maps, and review...)

The reason I put it here instead of the map subforum is I think many people might want to download and play on custom maps who don't go to the maps forum, which is mostly about making maps. But, I can see the argument for putting it there. Whatever people like...

I registered on Wikidots now, too. But I can't add maps to it. Do I need to get activated for editing there, or what?

EDIT: Nevermind, I overlooked the "Become a member" link.

Hmmm... seems the site lacks my favorite dominions 2 maps. Is that because those maps are all found on Arryns site?
