Wind Ride
Can someone please remind me of the Wind Ride rules.
I cast Wind Ride on a province with an enemy Pretender God, the size 3 Virtue, who is not Ethereal and didn't have any Earth magic. Yet the Virtue was not transported to my casting province. Nothing was. I couldn't see who was in the target province. I didn't have an adjacent province. I knew that Virtue was there because it had just taken the province from me. I don't tink there was a lab there either (almost definately not), so the Virtue couldn't have cast some sort of telport out spell. The upgrade to patch 3.14 happend on this turn. Could that have been it or maybe you can't Wind Ride Pretender Gods? |
Re: Wind Ride
It does not always bring the target back to your capital, it sometimes drops the target inbetween the original province and your capital.

Re: Wind Ride
It seems to have a random chance of failure. It also is weighted by size, larger the creature the less likely it will work. I don't know if flying effects it, but it should. Flyers should be able to fight the winds.
I have not heard that you cannot target gods. There was a thread a while back and many people were convinced it was broken (in version 3.10 and before). There were some tests, IIRC no one managed to get it to move a unit to the requested location even once. So could be broken, and that would not be new for 3.14. |

Re: Wind Ride
Well crap http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif Thanks. It used to work in one of the early versions of Dom3. I guess a patch must have changed it.
