some advices for Tir na nog ?

I tried Tir Na Nog yesterday and found it a little weak. With a Cyclop E9 Awe, order 3, Prod -2, Death 3 (they are all a very long lifetime) luck -1 and magic 3 But I am not familiar with high nature magic : what do I search first ? Is E9 Bless worth it ? I think about an Great Enchanteress with E6 S6 and maybe 1D 1F. |

Just expensive mages? Champion is sacred, build everywhere, and 4 research... for pocket change. Magic 1 makes a lot of sense. Magic 3, especially with great reinvigoration from pretender blessing is not really needed.
But Death + Misfortune leads to bad, bad events. Your capital may be wasteland by turn 10. Growth 1, Misfortune 3, Magic 1 (Total -1) is better rather than Death 3, Misfortune 1, Magic 3 (Total -1) For research, Alt 3/Evo 4/Con 4 are good start. At this point, you have thugs and artillery. Order depends on who's your neighbor. |

Champions are 140 gold for 4 research. Sure they are sacred, but the only land nations that are worse in EA for no cheap researchers are Ulm, Fomoria, and the Heims.
Magic 1 is never a bad bet, but it was Magic-3 I thought inappropriate for Tir na nog. |

If your capitol sits in a forest and you have Mis-3, you can avoid the threat of an Ancient Presence event in your capitol if you have death instead of growth.
Death-3 with Mis-1 can be worse than Mis-3 Death-2, since plagues are common with Death-3. I don't like Mis-3 because you get more events, with a greater chance for them to be bad. So I think Mis-2 Death-2 is a good compromise. |
