I was just randomly wandering around the internet when I stumbled upon this: http://allafrica.com/stories/200802061113.html

I know that girl. I worked with her for over three years. At first, I didn't think it could be her, although I knew she was Belgian and was working for Oxfam in Africa and that seemed like an awful big coincidence. But about an hour ago, I got an email confirmation from a mutual friend.

It's crazy, every day on the news you see stories about people being killed, but you never really think it would happen to someone you knew. Annick was a sweetheart, and I'm having a hard time believing I'll never see her smile again.

I am sorry to hear that your friend has died. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif That kind of thing never seems right or fair.

All I'm gonna say with regards to that is this: look at what's happening in Kenya.

If people don't have guns, they find another weapon. Like machete's.

Erm...Look, this is getting too close to starting the gun debate in this thread, so I'll just ask that no-one assume they know what side I'm on unless they've seen my actual, posted arugements - And that this thread be kept free of such things as debate.

It just doesn't seem appropriate to do in AZ's thread, considering what it's about.
